2011 Beringer Vineyards Chardonnay Private Reserve:
Bright medium yellow. Complex, inviting nose melds stone fruits, musky lees, flowers, spices and a truffley, gamey quality. Silky, rich and seamless but with excellent mid-palate energy to the ripe stone fruit and vanillin oak flavors. Fills the mouth without any impression of heaviness, thanks to the racy acidity of the year. Finishes with building stone fruits and lingering notes of spices and flowers. Not at all a honeyed style of chardonnay. 91 points By Stephen Tanzer Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/Jun 13 --International Wine Cellar

2011 Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay:
A big, strong Chardonnay with prominent buttered toast, buttered popcorn, vanilla, and pineapple-orange jam flavors. Elaborate and flashy, but obviously made to appeal to the modern style. Drink up. by Steve Heimoff — (5/1/2013) — 87 --Wine Enthusiast

| Winery Notes: A blend of Beringer's northernmost Chardonnay vineyards, this chardonnay is a mixture of the most expressive lots and blended to create an intensely aromatic and flavorful wine featuring citrus, tropical notes of fresh pineapple and mango, crème brulée, brown spice and butterscotch that come together for a seamlessly long, plush finish. This wine is truly the chardonnay lover's chardonnay! |
