2015 La Croisade Pinot Noir
The La Croisade Réserve range has been crafted as a tribute to the famous crossroads between three historical cities from the Languedoc, South of France (Carcassonne, Bé-ziers, and Narbonne). This was a place in the former century where sheepherders from the Black Mountains, farmers from the plains and fishermen from the sea met to trade their goods.
Languedoc, South of France.
This region benefits from the Mediterranean climate while the Black Mountain brings enough humidity and cool temperatures to enable the vineyards to produce grapes packed with fruity aromas.
Pinot Noir - IGP Pays d’Oc
Optimal ripe grapes are essential for a good Pinot Noir. The full aromatic potential has already been developed, but the sugar content should be relatively low in order to pre-serve the variety's elegant style. For that, a part of the crop is harvested quite early and ferments at low temperature exalting fruity aromas. The other part, fully ripe, under-goes a traditional, long maceration. About one third ages in French oak barrels for many months adding a lot of complexity to the wine.
Serve at room temperature with duck breast, pasta, cheese
