Full, bright red. Exotically perfumed nose offers sexy scents of cherry, flowers and incense. Racy, sharply focused red berry and bitter cherry flavors are gently firmed by fine-grained tannins and gain sweetness with air. Offers considerable upfront appeal and sneaky finishing persistence. 90 points

I actually preferred the generic 2007 Pinot Noir as it was more complex and evolved than the Bien Nacido cuvee. While somewhat softer, the former wine exhibits beautiful fruitcake, black cherry, and red currant notes as well as an endearing earthiness and spiciness, good lushness, and an attractive, full-bodied, sexy style. Both of these cuvees are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
