Champagne Jean-Noël Haton Brut

  • Pinot Meunier/Pinot Noir/Chardonnay
  • Hand picked from 40-50 year old vines
  • Brut (9-10 g/L dosage)
  • Best bang for the buck all year!

Happy New Year from your friends at the Brown Derby! For bubbly lovers, the fun continues. Every year we scour our sources to identify a Champagne worthy to be our “go-to” bubbly for New Years festivities. Enter Jean-Noël Haton. With Noël right in the name, the story nearly writes itself!

Champagne is actually quite hard to buy. Affordable TRUE Champagne is usually quite poor. Most Champagne (even in the $60-80 range) is only marginally better than a decent Cava or Prosecco..So, when we find a $50 Reserve Champagne that hits on all cylinders, we get excited enough to back up the truck.

Haton Reserve spends a full 3 years on the lees rather than the requisite 2 required for non-vintage Champagne. The result is beautiful complexity, gorgeous texture, and that elusive balance between fruit and minerality.
