Since 1985, the family has bottled its eponymous label at the estate, and since 2002, in an extraordinary, underground winery. The “Salus” label is named for the Roman goddess of health, and all the profits go to support brain health research. Ordinarily the label sells for much more making this not only a killer deal, but a great wine for a good cause. Why no talk of oak, butter, mineral, citrus, etc.??? I’ve intentionally skipped over profiles and stereotypes in hopes that you’ll grab a bottle sans preconceptions.
