Imagine if the Italians made Beaujolais in Australia! That’s what you have here with this quirky red blend from Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills. It’s light on its feet without feeling trite. Fun is really the word! Brimming with fruit-tinged earthy tones, it also faithfully represents the innovation for which the Australians should be known. They are unencumbered by convention, and neither is this vino. Drinkability is one of my favorite wine descriptors to ridicule, and yet, I can think of no better term to capture what this wine is all about. It may not be self-important, but it is limited, so pick up some at Derby Frisco today.
