Tasting notes: Dried fruit nose followed by a hint of prune brandy. A taste of dried fruit and nuts (toasted almonds, raisins). Well-balanced wine, very aromatic, and long finish.
Serve as an aperitif, with a starter (foie gras, melon, savory pies) with game and roasted meats along with cooked fruit, with exotic dishes (Peking duck, etc.), cheese (Roquefort, dry goat cheese), and many kinds of dessert (cakes and ice cream with nuts, coffee, chocolate).
Made from Grenache noir, gris and blanc. Traditional vinification for natural sweet wines: not destemmed and mutage during fermentation with neutral spirit.
Matured in oak oak casks of Mas Saint Michel (semi-underground cellar) before bottling.
